shaving....it gets easier?

Recommended Posts

I wouldn't know.. I wax. I started waxing because standing in the shower and pulling back the belly to get to it is just dangerous! So with the wax, I can lay down and let someone else deal with it!

I recently started laser treatments & i wish i had done it years ago! I have had problems with ingrowns, even when i got professional waxing. Never again! It does seem expensive, but if you calculate the cost of razors or waxing over a lifetime, it is actually cheaper. No more fussing with it, and no more ingrowns!!!

I don't shave that area but my 'apron' has shrunk a lot so I can actually look down and see my pubes now. I imagine if I did shave down there it would be loads easier now.

On the other hand, my facial hair is going crazy. :( it's always been a problem but now it's coming in really thick and fast, and worse is some of the hairs are jet black since the surgery (I'm blonde, wtf?). If I weren't blonde I would laser off this hot mess in a heartbeat.

I only had temporary results with laser. 3 years later and it is nearly as bad as before. I quit after the 6 treatments but I think I need to keep going forever it is just less often over time.

Please tell me shaving my zone will get easier. I'm so tired of the touch and shave that I've been doing for years. LOL

"The touch and shave" ROFLMAO! THAT IS HILARIOUS!

Waxing was painful the first couple of times, but you get used to it over time. It was painful the first time I plucked my eyebrows, but that's no problem now.

I love getting waxed. The slight sting is almost like therapy... ;) and I love the smoothness and how my hair grows in finer and softer now. Try it!

I'm almost two months out and down 47 pounds including pre op. I shave and it is waaaaay easier now. I can see much more (still not everything), but its much better. It doesn't seem like such a chore as before.

I've noticed an increase in facial hair also- upper lip, and neck/under chin.

As we lose weight, our body produces less estrogen (fueled by amount of adipose- fat- tissue in the body), and produces more testosterone.

It stinks, but... eh. I'd rather be thinner and healthier, and break out the tweezer more.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
