I'm Oct 11th also in Pontiac MI... I had an 8 day preop diet.

Surgery isn't till 2 PM and i'm not supposed to eat or drink after midnight... think that it's going to be rough.

I'm nervous and excited.

Me too. I had to stop drinking my shakes at 4 PM today and am freaking myself out over not being able to have the Protein shakes. Too funny. Healthy surgery to you and I will check in when I'm awake.

How are all the October 11th sleevers doing?

Here is my checkin...

My surgery was at 7 am Friday and I was discharged Saturday at 11 am.

I overall feel great, liquids going down good. I have 5 incisions (only the one that my tummy was pulled through hurts). My doctor isn't concerned with me getting my Protein in first week, only supposed to focus on getting enough liquids. I didn't have a drain or a catheter.

I am feeling a bit restless, trying to walk around lots. I could probably go back to work in a few days.

I was sleeved on the 11th. Stayed in the hospital 2 nights, it was part of the package. I feel really well and pain is minimal and only present when getting up, etc. I hope all the 11th sleevers are doing as well.

I was sleeved on Friday at 2:00pm. The first day wasn't bad. I was really sore about 24-36 hrs after surgery. Just kept making myself move. Never really had much gas pain.

Went home yesterday. Pain isn't bad. Any sip of anything causes a series of grumbles.

Was really surprised by the fact that a sip is filling my entire stomach.

Hello sleevers, I was the few who became very sick and nauseous for four days. Rough period but today I feel like a new person. I'm like you and the only place that hurts is where my stomach came through - hasta la vista tummy! I still have some of the gas from surgery but I'm walking it out. I'm so happy I did it!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
