How long do we have to wait?

Recommended Posts

My husband and I are both being sleeved on monday 9/30.... Wondering since both of us are having surgery, how long we will need to wait to have sex..... Anybody else sleeved the same time as their partner?

As I read from another poster, they like you to wait at least until you get home. :P

In all seriousnes, from what I have read, you can have sex when you feel up to.

Good Luck!

BonBon You just made me crack up!

My dr said as soon as I felt like it, I could!

Enjoy the journey with your spouse! My husband did not have the surgery but he did get on board and he has lost 60 pounds right along side me. It helps to have someone to do it with!

I think its so wonderful that you guys are getting sleeved together. You are so lucky to have someone right there by your side, who can understand and relate to everything your going through. Congrats to you both on your surgery date...you'll be in my prayers

My bf could eat deep fried folie gras dipped in mayonaise and not gain weight so just my surgery was the limiting factor. I was only able to make It 5 days but the Dr Told me I needed to wait ten. Oops.

all my stitches was kind of a position limiter but he was able to work around it heh. Doggie/spooning might be good for yall initially. Neither has to be on top using abs much. Use some pillows in a creative manner :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
