Hi SaggiJ & Louise,

That must be tough for you Saggi re the underactive thyroid, and I agree with you the difficulty of changing your eating habits of a lifetime quickly. I too thought of this pre op, I thought I'll see how I go, but I might enrolled with somebody to get NLP therapy re diet/lifestyle, but I'll see how I go....Also thanks for the advice about how easy it is to put all the weight loss back on onceyou start solids again, I'll have to try and be really careful, I now write down what I eat each day and what the cals total up too, but once Im really back on the ment I am going to have to make myself do exercise. I do love it once Im doing it, its getting back into a habit again :)

Hey Louise thats a great weight loss 4.5lbs this week, wow I'd love to loseweight like that. I got on the scales again (lol) this am and Im down 12lbs now, but tomorrows D-Day 1 week after the op, so what ever that says tomorrow will be my first marker. I see you had your op done in the Bath clinic, I had mine done with BMI in Winchester, even though I live in Dorset.

I'll have to try and be disaplined and only weigh myself every Monday am too......but the first week was just tooooo tempting to do it every day! :)

Have a lovely day folks

Hugs Sara :)

Hi Sara,

I don't usually lose as much as this week every week. I've had 2 periods of 2 weeks when I haven't lost anything at all. I seem to lose in fits and starts but I have some restriction now and struggle to make 1000 calories a day so hopefully that will bode well for my weight loss.

I have been very impressed with BMI Healthcare; did you self pay as well? As you live in Winchester which isn't too far from where I live do you fancy meeting up sometime?

I'm mightly proud of myself tonight :biggrin1: I managed to cooked a full blown Easter dinner for my family, & I had a 100mls of pureed veg and meat! & they were all eating chocholate too!!

Hope you had a great East day,

Sara,

I've had two fills and Mr Krysztopik uses a local anaesthetic so neither fill was particularly painful. The first didn't have any effect but the second has given me restriction. I did feel a weird sensation around my stomach the second time.

I was a little worried about eating afterwards but I just stuck to Fluid for the rest of the day and I was fine. You will be too!

Hi Louise & Sara Moss,

Sorry I have not come on this site for the last 2weeks. I have been so busy at work, and so deadbeat when I returned home from work. Anyway, how are you all? My weight still plateuing but Im not too worried as Im not putting on either. I want to apologise cos I wont be able to meet up with you guys in Bath after all. I realised the following week is school break, and I need to take time off at that time. So I wont be taking 18 may to come down to Bath after all. Hope u all hv a fantastic time. Take care.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
