Vitamin Dilemma!

Finally i had the guts to go buy my Vitamins to GNC... I am 5 days post op. (been horrible)

At GNC i bought the B-12 sublingual GNC brand... Which ive heard they are good.

Also i bought (and i regret) soft chewable Multivitamin.. They give me the worst nausea and the after taste its bad.

1) what Multivitamins can you recommend? Pleaaaaseee

2) what other vitamins should i take? I read Biotin... But not sure!

I got the Centrum chewables from the corner drugstore. They taste like fruit-flavored gum. But if you have kids put them up high. The vitamins look like small gumballs.

I never could stand the chewable vitamins...but the gummy ones are just like candy. Love them. Biotin is supposed to help with hair loss, but if you ask me it's just a big fat waist of money. Everyone will have hair loss no matter what, some more then others....usually the ones that lose their hair the most also lose their weight the fastest. You should take some calcium vitamins and possibly an iron supplement, as most multivitamins do not have iron in them. That's about all that you need. Good luck to you, and welcome to the losers bench! :)

Return that stuff! I love that GNC takes it back no questions asked.

I have the Twin Labs bariatric chewable and I actually like it. It's fruity but not super sweet.

My surgeon told me to take the Flintstone vitamins and stay away from all gummies - too many carbs

Flintstones complete (2)

Calcium with vitamin D

Biotin

Potassium

Sublingual B-12 (I've had Trader's Joes brand and Bariatric Advantage brand)

Do you guys take all ypur vitamins in the morning and all together? Or how do you manage to take them

I had the same problem for the first few months. My nutritionist said it was ok to use a gummy multi Vitamin until I could tolerate the pill. I later found that I had to take it with food or right before bed. I did have several incidents when I didn't fall asleep as fast as I'd hoped, and got very nauseous.

I get my daily multi, Citrical and B-12 from costco.

I take my D3, B1, Folic Acid first thing in the morning. I take calcium during the day (I just keep the bottle in my desk at work) and take the multi before bed.

I started with the centrum orange chewables and switched to the flavor bursts like she is talking about. They are awesome

These are mine. Took me a while to find something I tolerate and these taste kind of bad. But something is better than nothing.

I did take gummies at one point as well as I thought the chewables were disgusting.

But these are small and more bearable.

My surgeon's office also gave me a sample of Optisource, which is vitamin and calcium in one. Apparently, some people think they are too chalky, but I liked them. They taste kind of like orange flavored chewable vitamin vitamin C to me.

I take the flinstone complete before bed 3 of them and don't mind

I take flinstones complete gummies (3) with an additional iron pill. I also have to start a calcium supplement soon too.

I take two 500mg Bariatric Advantage Caramel chews a day, one in the morning and one in the evening. I also take one 1,000mg Biotin tablet with my breakfast.. I like how it's making my nails grow. With lunch I take two One a Day with added C chewable gummies. I take two fiber one gummies a day whenever I get them in. And right before bed I take two B12 gummies.

I take:

2 of Trader Joe's High Potency Chewable Multivitamins (one in morning, one at night)

1 50 mg tablet chelated zinc, at night, with dinner

D3 3x per week (prescription, 50k units)

1 tablespoon Wellesse liquid iron, usually 1 hr after breakfast

chewable probiotic (Bariatric Choice) at night, with dinner

sublingual B12 in morning, with breakfast

1 Citracal petite at night, with dinner.
