Happy Friday!

It's finally a rainy day here in Big D! We need it so much and the summer temps have finally broken. Put a pot roast in the crock pot last night for dinner tonight with all sorts of healthy veggies and some potatoes for hubby. Smells so good!

Rain supposed to taper off tonight and be a beautiful weekend in the mid 80's!

Perfect for a football filled weekend on the patio! Going to grill some turkey sliders and veggies and maybe fish on Sunday.

what a great post! I am going to stain a deck (distraction and some exercise) and powerwash some stuff and maybe even do an early fall leaves clean-up. and take the dog, who keeps looking longingly at the leash, for a well-deserved ramble. and eat a bbq rib (Not ribs!) that my husband volunteered to smoke on the grill. Have a nice Friday and a great weekend!

Oh this weekend should be lovely! My g/f and I are heading to a place called Ojo Calliente to soak in the mineral waters (mmmm!! relaxing!). Though we are thinking we should just drive to Pagosa Springs. Same price, more pools. Either way, we're getting the heck out of dodge. We took Monday off so our weekend is extended a little more. My bones are calling out for the hot springs!!

Tomorrow, I plan on participating in the largest chicken dance in the world. It is Zinzinnati Oktoberfest here in Cincinnati, and George Takei will be leading it. I am not sure how much exercise it will be, but I hope to have fun. I plan on taking some jerky and grapes as snacks and avoiding the high carb fare they have there. Luckily, I am not a beer fan, so won't miss that. Wish me luck!

Wow!! It's all going on in the amazing US of A!! Nothing exciting across the miles here in England.. I'm working all weekend.. Not complaining, and I'll pop to gym Saturday and Sunday.. Other than that nothing exciting like you ladies above!! I have made a delicious ham, mushroom and egg white kind of creation.. That will cover breakfast over the weekend, gonna cook some protein powder peanut butter low carb cookies, try a protein pumpkin shake, and tonight's dinner tilapia with avocado, cherry tomatoes and balsamic vinegar glaze... Foodie weekend for me have a wonderful weekend all!!

I am scheduled for my surgery, Monday, Oct. 14th. I am excited, but also scared! ) am thinking of how wonderful it will be to finally have some energy again to actually do things!!!

I would love a power washer but my hubby has banned me from them...I don't know something about taking the finish off the house paint or some such BS....then there was the decking but that was NOT my fault! I think he is just a bit party pooper.

School on the weekends. Big test in my Substance Abuse class on Sunday. Experimenting with stew and chili style recipes lately.

Not much planned here, but I love all the football on Sundays! Just getting my exercise in both days, maybe try some new Paleo recipes, OH, and doing some work on my Halloween costume! I haven't dressed up for Halloween since 2005 because I never wanted to be seen as the "fat version" of whatever I was trying to be...now that I'm more confident, I'm excited to dress up again! I have almost all of the components of my costume, I just have to do some craftin' this weekend on some details!

I'm going to spend some well deserved time sitting in a beach chair looking at the beautiful ocean, maybe do some shopping at Whole Foods for the next weeks lunches, washing down the pool deck and doing some laundry. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Tomorrow, I will be attending my monthly support group meeting for Bariatric patients. They always have lots of information, sample proteins, patient testimonials and have guest speakers. It is suppose to be raining here tomorrow, we need it though, it's been rather dry here the past few weeks. I am making stew tomorrow and will be grilling out on Sunday.

Best friend is visiting this weekend from overseas. So happy to see her and can't wait to see her reaction to my transformation! The last time we saw each other was a couple of weeks post surgery and I have gone from a size 18 to a size 12 since then~ We plan to go out for lunch- somewhere with good soup
