Awesome advice......... Thank you

If you want to start something early try 3 shakes during the day (breakfast , lunch , snack) then a low carb dinner (about 400 cals) that will keep you under 1 k and should help you lose weight ..

One week from tonight I will be packing to go to the hospital to be sleeved on Friday at 5:00am!! How crazy is all of this. It seems like just yesterday I found this site reading every bit of information I could find regarding the sleeve and now here I am almost a week away from getting sleeved myself. Thanks to all of you for you support and information that has helped me get to this point. Good luck November Sleevers we can do this!! ;).

On Monday my family flies to Anchorage so I can do all of my pre-op appointments on Tuesday. Then, Friday will be the big day. I'm so excited, but catch myself wondering if there's any chance I could have done this on my own. That's when I think back on the last 20 years of my life (I just turned 30) and hear a resounding NO! This is it. I'm SO ready.

Congratulations on your 3lb loss! It is a lovely start to your journey. I am planning to start my pre-op diet tomorrow...3 weeks out from my surgery on 11/14. Doctor only demands two weeks but I feel three will help me get 'in the zone'. :-) I feel relieved when I see how difficult it is for American 'sleevers' to get insurance cover for their procedure. We have none of those issues here, as such.

Thanks! My doc demands 10 days, but may as well get started, I say! :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
