October GS Pals?..

I've finally gone through all my clearances and I get my date September 18th. From what they said they expect it to be the week of October 18th. I'm soooooo anxious at this point. I started at 250, and am now 237. Any October buddies out there? :-)

Wow that was fast!!!Did your insurance not require a certain Amount of monthly visits or had you already been on WW before?

My first appt was 8/15- I have my psych eval on 9/23 and then my Sept nut visit and my final nut visit is 10/16. I'm really hoping for a fast approval so I can have an October surgery. Everything has gone relatively fast in reality but it feels like its taking forever!

My insurance did not request anything, really, other than having bmi of 40+! I had to get a letter of support from pcp, see NUT, get blood work, get psych eval, endoscopy, physical therapy appointment and attend 3 support group meetings and lose10lbs!

I just made all appoints in quick succession, sometimes 2 in one day! Luckily , the center has support group meetings twice a week!

Good luck to you! And fingers crossed for a quick approval!

October 22nd woo hoo! I am anxious and excited, but not nervous.

Hey LuckyT who is your surgeon?

My doctor was amazing, I started the process in July, and I'm going in October. Setting up the appointments and pushing them for ASAP really helped. Needed psych eval, endo, blood work, two support groups (although I go every week), approval letter from PCP, and cardiologist clear. I am on Coumadin so I will be getting surgery for a filter a week before I get the sleeve done. Also, where I am they do blood work three days before surgery to confirm weather you have smoked any ciggs weather your a smoker or non smoker. The endoscopy is dome three days prior to surgery here as well.

Hi 1SuperBonBon, in answer to your question my surgeon is Dr. Deron Ludwig @ North Valley Surgical Associates in Chico, CA.

October 2nd here in North Dakota! 5 days until my preop diet starts. Time is flying!

October 14! Yippee!

Same here. Everything is happening quickly for me. My first consult was 9/12/13 and my surgery is 10/14/13. Barely a month! I'm self-pay so I'm sure that not having to jump through insurance hoops is helping me along. I do have a patient education class scheduled for 9/27. Anxious and excited right now. My surgeon is David Treen at West Jefferson (near New Orleans).

My date is Oct 25th in Chicago. Im very excited. I started my journey in Dec 2012 because my insurance req 6 mths of nutrition classes. Everything went fast since i first saw the surgeon at the end of aug. Got my date this past friday. I havent gotten requirements for pre op yet but i have been told the heavier you are the longer your on it so i'm expecting to have to do liquids for a month. SW is 335.

October 14th for me. I really neverous
