Anti-Semitism In France!

I wish somebody would give Bush a BJ so we could impeach him! Any volunteers?
It might be worth it. One moment of pleasure for him, almost two years of sanity for the USA.

Of course, Cheney would have to leave office for it to make it worth while for me to volunteer..

Nancy Pelosi might do a fine job as president, she might not, but she can not do anything to top the BuSh fiasco.

Vocal about Bill Clinton! Hello! He was a national disgrace! He perverted the office of the President by having an affair in the White House with an intern, lied through his teeth to the entire country, was impeached by Congress and trashed the premises when he left office. And you question that Conservatives might have strong feelings about that? Do we even live in the same country??

Just for the record, I don't know of anyone why thinks Nixon suffered an injustice. He did what he did and reaped the consequesces of his actions. End of story! Where do you get this stuff??

Ron is right. Bill allowed 250,000 potential unborn babies to be killed at each session with the Lewinski women. Who knows that might be 2 or 3 million potential unborn babies who never had a chance at life in the USA as a child of the president.

BuSh on the other hand is only responsible for about a quarter of a million live people's deaths and injuries.

Except the the Word of God says that "the scriptures are not open to any private interpertation", and that the one (the Professor) that teaches us is the Holy Spirit of God. That is another good argument against "private interpertation" in the form of a non-literal understqanding of scripture. Virtually all Conservative students of the scriptures are in complete agreement with the major and most important doctrines and beliefs, especially regarding salvation. It is onle when you get into liberal, non-literal interpretation that you see all the disagreement of the foundational issues of the faith.

That is why God, in his wisdom, called some to be Pastors, teachers and evangelists so that others could also learn

And each of those Pastors, teachers and evangelists will have a different understanding of this book of "literal fact." Just like every good Christian.

Is that part of your belief system or is that a typical liberal response??

Neither.....just one of my humorous, smart-ass remarks, for which I am well-known. You didn't think it was funny?

I never thought of "unpatriotic" as an insult.

Green, unfortunately your entire point just flew over some heads.

Most people do not know the difference between Patriotism and Nationalism.

People who suffer from an overabundance of Nationalism can not see Patriotism in anyone who disagrees with them.

Private interpretation of the Bible is an inescapable reality that exists every single time any person reads the Bible. Each person has his or her own background, experience and intelligence, and each word is subject to ambiguities and significant variation in meaning. That is why, contrary to your statement, conservative students of the scripture disagree constantly and completely over the most important doctrines. Conservative students of the scripture who happent to be Catholic disagree completely with conservative students of the scripture who are Greek Orthodox, Protestant, etc. You of all people should know that.

Well I , and millions of others don't think what Bush did was wrong given what we all knew at the time, including all the Democrats that voted for the war, and the British as well. In face, Hillary was on of the biggest supporters.

You mean "given what Bush TOLD us, at the time", don't you? Turns out there was a HUGE difference between the truth and what he told us was the truth. The Democrats trusted the President to give them accurate information. Shame on them.

That is the Liberal party line of course, but the fact is there is absolutely no proof of any of it. Just because the WMD's were not found does not mean they did not exist and were transported to Syria or some other country, which was speculated. The impeachment process is for grevious offence in office, and if this rubbish were fact, the process would be under way. The fact of the matter is, the Democrats have been trying for 2-years to find impeachable offences with no results. Saying, "We don't impeach" and "we try to work with the government and elected officials we have" is so laughable that I don't think even you could believe it. The Democrats would LOVE to be able to impeach this president.
Ron is right, Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, but he was saving them for a rainie day. That is why he didn't use them in 1991 or 2003.:faint:

He did use them in 1988. I think many said "Made in USA" on the side of the weapon.

You don't think God has a sense of humor? You don't think Christians should enjoy sex, oral and otherwise? Maybe that's what's wrong with you, Ron. Maybe you need more sex and less hell fire and brimstone. Maybe we can get you and George a two-for-one deal.

Well the Tired-Old-Man for one!!
I base my faith on the Bible, just not on a "word for word" literal interpretation. Much of the Bible is allegorical IMHO.

And don't tell me that it is impossible. Just because you can not do it, doesn't mean that I can't IMNSHO.

We are dealing with people who saw off innocent peoples heads and film it, and you are so concerned for their well being???

That's like saying Jews killed Jesus, therefore Jews are bad people. Only a small fraction of Muslims are extremists and/or terrorists. Remember, Hitler claimed to be a Christian.

First of all, Catholic and Geeek Orthodox students of scripture are not Conservative , are very liberal, and do not accept the literal understand of the Bible. They interpret it allogorically, meaning it is all symbolic and open to mean whatever you want it to mean.

Secondly, Conservative students of scripture, meaning those from non-liberal foundations, all agree of the major doctrines of the faith concerning salvation, which is the backbone of true Christianity. Everything else takes second place. If yolu understood theology, you would understand this.

He didn't lie! He presented the intelligence that was provided to him by the CIA and the British. Granted it was faulty intelligence, at least in part, but he didn't lie. If that was something that liberals could prove, we would be looking at a pending impeachment. That is pure liberal hype!

And you would know this how?????

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
