You are only 2 weeks out. Take it slow, drink as much Water sip by sip as you can, and try a different Protein drink if you can't tolerate the one you are used to. Remember you are also getting fluids in your Protein Shakes. I also "fortify" greek yogurt with unflavored whey powder. It boosts the yogurt to about 30 grams of protein. The Dannon Oikos - Traditional Greek Yogurt - Orange Cream does not have any chunks of fruit in it to upset your stomach. Also the Premier Protein drinks at costco seem to be a favorite of lots of folks on this site. Hang in there it gets better!

If you like warm protein try the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken broth Protein Powder .. Also try the unflavored powder. You can mix that into Soup after the Soup cools down to below 130 degrees. Isopure clear protein drinks in fruit flavors available through GNC or Amazon really helped me the first few weeks. Much lighter than the shakes. I would just sip one all day. That was 40g of protein. It does get better.

What is your struggle? Is it pain? Gas? Are you constantly sipping? I know we are all different and each work differently. I was sleeved the 27th. I have been very aggressive with Water, not so much with Protein. The first week I made my focus on water, increasing hour by hour and day by day. My first day I took in 17oz I made a goal to increase that to 28oz the next day and all day I counted and divided and said 28oz over 16 hours is 1.75oz an hour. I hit 40oz that day. I have done that everyday since. Over the last 3 days I have taken in 65oz-70oz and today 104oz. 100oz was my goal. I easily took in a gallon pre op and I didn't want to get dehydrated. It isn't easy, but it will get easier. Consistency is key. Good Luck

I had exactly the same problem. Ny doctor told me to screw the protien at furst and ti stat hydrated. I was obly drinking 2 cupa a day for the first week but then my sleeve finally expanded enough I could drink more and it became easier to eat things in the puree and soft stages. My doc told me as long as youre getting at least 2 cups a day (not long term of course) that it was ok. After 3 or 4 weeks it finally became much easier

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
