Goals; What are you looking forward to MOST?

One of the little things I am looking forward to is being able to wear my rings again. I have my grandma's 50th wedding anniversary ring that I stopped being able to wear a few years ago. I have others, I love rings and right now I cant squeeze them onto my fat sausage fingers.

So, what are YOU most looking forward to doing with your smaller body?

Funny you mentioned rings. I just got mine back from the jeweler yesterday. Pre op I never thought about my fingers getting smaller but they did! I had to go down 1.5 sizes.

I have lost 100lbs so far. The one thing I used to dread the most was "will I be able to sit in the booth" like at a restaurant. Even now I get that thought in my head. But an pleasantly surprised I have no problems sitting in one now.

i recently just fit back into my engagement and wedding rings! Awesome nsv. I won't lie I cried. I am looking forward to going zip lining and doing outdoor activities with my 3 year old and husband that I was just too embarrassed to try. I also want to be able to run a marathon, but that is months from now...maybe even a year.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
