April 2014 Due Date

Just confirmed that I am indeed PREGNANT!!! 5 weeks 2 days! My EDD is 4/13/14. We are so excited about this, I couldn't wait to tell our friends and family, so they all found out yesterday. I am 9 months post-op and down 123 lbs since surgery. I have PCOS and have struggled for the past 20 years with irregular cycles and fertility. We have a healthy 3.5 year old, that was conceived through treatment after 5 years. Since surgery I have had monthly cycles, every 28-30 days. This is amazing!!! I feel like my life is finally mine, and not inhibited by my weight/size. My prayers have been answered. Doing the happy dance!!!! Wooohoooo!!!

That is fabulous! Congratulations!!! I also have PCOS. I thought I was never going to have a child. In fact, I was in my late 30s and was ready to have and ablation, which would have ended my chances for good. But that is when I found out I was pregnant. I had lost 36lbs before I conceived. It was the grace of GOD really, but I do have my beautiful daughter for it. Now I am ready to change my life so that I can be the best mommy I can, and I am excited the sleeve will give me the chance!

Identical stories with pcos and fertility, weights and periods, and my cycle before conceiving was every 28 days, never in my life until after the sleeve! Congrats and woohoo!

Wow! very similar here!. I am 11 months post op, down 123 pounds and am 6w4d preggers due 4/18/14. I had gotten to 127 down, but weight started to creep up a little, but has been holding steady at 123 down for about 3 weeks, just after finding out. I have a 4 year old daughter. My surgeon said to wait to get pregnant until 9-12 months post op, and we weren't trying, but it happened. We are excited, it's just a little earlier than planned. I have had no morning sickness and I'm hoping that's because of the surgery, but it might be too soon. I hope I don't end up with it. I had miserable morning sickness the first pregnancy, all day every day and was hospitalized twice for hyperemesis. Saw my OB yesterday and got the first sono. He said all looks good. Hope it stays that way. He said make sure to take the Vitamins and stay hydrated. I'm also grazing constantly to make sure I get nutrients. Hoping the weight comes off easily after....

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
