I having the problem of not being able to drink Post-op

Recommended Posts

Thank you Sherilarae. I am going to sip' date=' sip, sip slowly all day. I never thought I would have the problem of getting food / liquid in me. Someone told me that my insides are still swollen and things will get better. I can't wait for that day [/quote']

I second what everyone else has told you. I used a clock and took super tiny sips all the time' date=' with the goal of drinking 1 oz. every 15 minutes while I was awake. I drank from a shot glass and used a 1 cup liquid measuring cup like a pitcher. I drank everything room temp at first, but everyone is different. Another thing I liked very early out is Sleepy Time Tea.

Thank you Isereno. I do feel like it is easier with room temperature or warmer drinks such as strained Soup or broth. I have some tea to try. I wish I had posted this a few days ago. I have received so much helpful advice. I feel as if I shorted myself the first few days post surgery. I'm not too far off track. I think I like the tea before bed. Thank you again.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
