I am going to kill the same 2 pounds

Recommended Posts

Is this normal? I lose 3 pounds but the next day I gain 2 of the pounds back? So really I've only lost one. This keeps happening. I know I am not on a stall because I lose that one pound. I am 8 weeks today out of surgery. Isn't too soon to start slowing down on the loosing? On May 31 day of surgery I weight 267 and today I weigh 234 that 33 pounds, I feel like I should of lost more by now. Uuuggghhh so frustrating. Thanks for hearing my rant.

your weight loss is right on target

sorry i can't respond to your problem of losing 3 lbs - gaining 2 back???

but you still lost 1 lb..... and thats what counts :)

some/many peoples expect, hope that will lose their 75, 100, etc lbs over night

not gonna happen

but thats ok

your weight goes DOWN while your spirits go UP :)

take care

continued good luck

kathy

This why it is not recommended to weigh every day because the fluctuations will drive you crazy. Good luck.

This is why lots of places say you shouldn't weigh everyday. Water weight fluctuations, menstrual blood getting ready for your next period, and time of day can make your weight fluctuate +/- 5 pounds.

On another note, you are losing 30 pounds in less than 2 months...which is 15 pounds per month. This is the norm, especially without exercise added in.

I'm May 16 and down 40 pounds post op so pretty close. I have a 2 pound bounce EVERY SINGLE TIME I LOSE! SO FRUSTRATING! And, I only lose weight every other week. One week I lose sometimes up to five pounds then the next week the bounce ending in 0-1 pounds that week. My body just seems to need to do this to rebalance. I'm not changing anything from week to week. I do enter my weight on fatsecret everyday almost and that little chart lets me know 1)my weight is trending down despite the little bumps so it is okay and 2)I am in a week when I am likely to bounce or not lose. Being able to see those two things helps keep me from going crazy.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
