Do I count the calorie's & such if I can't keep it down?

Recommended Posts

OK, silly maybe stupid question: I was sleeved in February still learning the thing my new tummy likes, doesn't like and just simply wont tolerate. My question is, If I eat it and throw it up within 10~15 minutes do I still count it? I have been eating and throwing up a lot lately and am not sure what to do here. Please offer your opinion's.

Thank you in advance :}

I was told not to count calories by my NUT she said use this first year to tune into our body and listen to our stomachs. Eat when hungry but make sure it is physical hunger and not head hunger. Just healthy eating for life.

I haven't thrown up yet (knock on wood) so don't know the right answer on that one. Seems if it all comes up within 10 mins you're not retaining 100% of the calories. I do have a guideline for water/fluid intake 64 oz, Protein 60-90g and cals 900-1000. I do aim for 90g of protein and maximum 900 cals but often go over in protein and under in cals. All drs are different with their plans of course.

I'd be more concerned about why I was throwing up. Is it an eating disorder, overeating, stomach virus or something else? Maybe I got off on the wrong track here, but thought I'd mention this.

      I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

      Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
      Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

      Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
