My enemy food.

Recommended Posts

Ive tried to eat pork 3 times and cant do it. All three times it was different cuts, prepared differently and it makes me sick. What foods are hating you? Anyone?

How far out are you? From about 6 weeks to 8 or 9 weeks I didn't do well with crisp tender or raw cruciferous veggies like broccoli or cauliflower, but now at almost 6 months out I do fine with them. I would take a break from any foods you can't tolerate for a couple of weeks and then try again (at home of course and a small amount that is chewed very well).

7 weeks today. I have tried only small amounts of pork, but I think its just too heavy still. I havent attempted steak or roast beef. Back to the old drawing board.

Yes. Pork is also hard for me. I would try again in a couple of weeks. I do fine with lean beef.

I am almost 10 months out and still can not eat pork or beef....It makes me feel sick and sometimes I have thrown it up.....

I mostly eat chicken...brown meat and fish....so much fish I think I might be growing gills...lol

Love the fish...light and not heavy on my stomach....

I can also eat a very small portion of lamb....I watch that too because it turns on me so fast!

I can no longer eat salmon! Weird, right??? Other fish is just fine but the taste of salmon has become so strong it makes me ill to eat. The same with turkey!! Depends on how it is cooked. I can do *some* pork. Nothing breaded at all. I try to stick with mainly chicken and fish since those are the two that go down the easiest. The lighter the better! I am 7 months out from surgery.

Very strange, but I can't tolerate any kind of lunch meat. I can eat pork, beef, chicken, fried, breaded, really anything I want except the lunch meats. I have no clue why this is.

Beef got me forever. Ground, steaks, thinly sliced lunchmeat - any variety, I just couldn't do it.

Iceberg lettuce is still my enemy. Something about it causes me problems if I have more than one or two bites.

Same goes for flour tortillas. I hate them. They gum up and get stuck and I'm left with a plate full of food because I only managed two bites.

I also avoid rice for the most part because it does the same thing.

2 months out and haven't had an issue with anything except apple. I had salad ( with apple) earlier this week and felt dreadful. Tonight I ate less than 1/4 of one as a snack and feel icky again. Guess they'll have to go on hold for a few weeks. :(

I'm almost 3 months out. I get super sick on cashews. bread, which I've only tried once or twice, makes me feel stuffed in a bad way with only a bite or 2. I haven't even bothered with rice or Pasta. Only wish I had the sane problem with crackers. Those go down fine and they were one of my trigger foods before surgery. No crackers in my house!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
