Hi ALL,

I'm sick of my BA chewables & I'm looking for a calcium citrate pill or capsule. Recommendations would be so great, THX!

Oh man! Sick of the BA chewable? ?? How is that possible?? I love them for a year now in caramel flavor, giving me a little guilt free "candy treat" every single day. Mmmmm , caramel... If you really must give up this treat, then I have also found costco to have good Calcium tablets however, they do tend to beon the horse pill side of size, so do consider if you are ready to take those. After about 6 months, I could take just about any size pill, even the really huge ones they have in animal pack Vitamins (think: horse pill size x2)

Hi Fiddle,

I tried one last night at my support meeting & although it was tasty....It was like a hard taffy, I chewed that thing forever!

My BA chewables are the big chalk ones....

I am confused. So you got sick of them after 1 day?

Oh now I get you. The chalk tablet o death. Hated those. Made me puke all the time. I eventually switched to trader joes adult chewable tablet which tasted much better and did not make me puke. If I recall correctly, I think the TJ tabs had 100 percent RDA Calcium in them. I took two of them daily to hit 200 percent RDA daily as recommended by nut. Now i take Optimen for fueling my workouts with good energy. BA needs to discontinue those Choc o nasty tablets prompto.

I have tried Calcium chewables from BA and they are plain disgusting. I can’t stand chewing another one. Worst of all they make me nauseous every time. I tried switching flavors but, it was the same result all over. I switched to capsules from Vita4Life. They are regular sized pills and easy enough to swallow. They do not make me nauseous and have returned some great lab results.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
