No enjoyment of food?

I'm about 8 weeks post surgery, and I just don't enjoy food any more.

I still enjoy the taste of things, but I don't really take any enjoyment from eating. Eating feels more like something that I have to do rather than something that I want to do. Which is good in that it helps with the loosing weight part of things, but I never thought I'd have to force myself to eat.

Anyone else have the same issue?

This is exactly what I am hoping for, post op...like you, I love the whole food experience. The very reason I chose the sleeve was not to inhibit my food joy, but to set parameters while still enjoying. Your statement "I love that I'm able to focus on the tastes now rather than worrying about how to fill my enormous belly!" is precisely where I want to be. Thanks for offering an uplifting message, just when I was starting to doubt my decision to do this.

Master Chef judge Graham Elliott just had VSG too. He chose VSG for the same reason that we did.. So he can still enjoy a variety of flavors but just be more sensible about portion sizes. I can imagine he went through a lot of struggle with deciding.. I mean, it's not just his enjoyment on the line but his entire career!
