Is exercising better with the sleeve than with the band?

I have been having issues after either walking on the tread mill, or just walking around the track due to the pain from my port and other issues with the band. It will be coming out in August, but I was wondering if exercising is any better with the sleeve Vs the band. I know that exercise is an important part of the losing process, and I may not have done enough of it with the band. I really want to try harder after being sleeved.

I ride horses, and I decided against the band because I was afraid of erosions from the band bouncing around while riding, as well as catching the port on dismounting.

So I chose the sleeve, and was back on my horse 3 weeks after surgery. I also walk 2 miles every day, and work out with a trainer twice a week. I'm 3 months post surgery, and no problems at all!

Thanks Yaya, This makes me feel a lot better. I keep hearing that maybe I've strained a stomach muscle that always lasts from 1-3 weeks. I just never know when and how I strain it. But the pain is there 2-3 days after starting to exercise.

My band is out and sleeved for 2 weeks. I'm walking 15 min two or three times a day. What I notice is no electrical shocks from the port. I love being able to swallow water without choking on it like I did with the band so I can bring along a water bottle.

I exercised a lot before my band but dropped it drastically after getting the band. The port site would feel like it was rubbing my inside raw. I couldn't swallow water usually while exercising and was very fatigued very fast. I have had the sleeve since January and I weight train, spin, take combat, step classes, and a high impact aerobic class. I have no problem with the sleeve. Some days I take 2 classes back to back.
