The first shake I made with almond milk made me gag, the second one today with skim milk is much easier to get down. I am getting and oz an hour and then Water in between. I did do a Popsicle this morning and will probably do another this afternoon and drinkable yogurt 1 oz.

Well I am not having that issue, but things I have read suggest trying things like popsicles and ice chips. They melt so u have to ingest in a certain amount of time. I pretty much started by setting myself on a timer. One ounce is three small sips jist about so if you set your timer on your phone or got an app for timing bites (what I used) then u could so a sip every 5 minutes. This should produce less discomfort and you could intake 4 oz an hour. In 12 hours that is 48 oz. that is what my doc said the minimum was. If u find it getting easier do one sip every 3 mintues or two minutes...i will say some prayers for you! Good luck!!!

I have a question, I had VSG on 7/8/13, initially loosing 38 lbs since 2 week pre op diet till week 3 post op then on week four I put on 4 lbs and they will not come off. I get about 70-90 Protein and around 600-800 calories. What am I doing wrong? I am disgusted and upset, going through thoughts of why did I even have the surgery. I know having VSG was the right thing to do since I was at 348 but know I am having difficulty with this. Can anyone help me get a better understanding of how this happened.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
