How long has it been since your surgery? I am 1 week out from mine and only eating 1 tablespoon of pureed baby food. I can't even imagine being at the point where I can eat all that food again. Not even sure I would want to.

I am 9 months out and still cannot handle beef or pork at all...Does not matter how much I chew it it feels like it is stuck in my throat.....Throwing up...at first I did that several times a day.....that was a problem...I throw up now only when I am upset and my sleeve tightens and I can't swallow....Happened 2 times this week...

One good way to slow your eating is to put your fork down after every bite.....Make sure you take tiny bites as well as you can end up swallowing bigger not so chewed pieces....This works well for me..Although my food gets cold before I get it eaten and thats a drag...I lose interest in it then....

***SIGH***

I am in my third week and I feel your pain.... If I eat more than about 3 good bites... It's a biiiiiiig problem! And with those 3 bites., comes gurgling( feels like foamy bubbles coming back up in my throat) and then the "thanksgiving dinner" feeling. Three bites!! Geez!! I thought there was something wrong with me..... Like someone else said..... food gets cold..... Etc..... I sucks pretty much........

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
