Great idea! I found some sample/appetizer dishes on Amazon and they look fun. They are orginally used for tastings as cooking events.

Oh! How cute!

"congress with a kid"????????????? :o

Well, these bowls are no good for that but if you want something that "comes with a lid and is good for travel".....

I have the Gladware 1/2 cup plastic containers. They have lids and are microwavable. I think it was an 8 pack for $2.50 at Walmart.< /p>

Even though they may say microwaveable, I wouldn't make a habit of microwaving food in plastic. The plastic molecules infiltrate your food and are not good for your health. :(

Those are cute! I use little Farberware bowls from my pattern (Pistoulet) that are just right, or sometimes a wide-mouthed mug with a handle. I use teacup plates and the smallest spoons and forks in my set (I never used to use the salad forks in my set and now use them all of the time). My mom and I were at Anthropologie and I saw teeny tiny salt cellars with a teeny tiny spoon and joked that I should get one to eat out of! LOL

I use the tiny spoons and forks from World Market. They are appetizer size and they have forks, spoons, and knives that are all matching and have really cute handles. They are heavy as well! I have to find joy in the cute things while I'm eating! LOL! :P

I got my plastic bowls with lids at the dollar tree. I believe there were 3 or 4 for a $1. And I bought matching plastic cups, and baby spoons that came in a small plastic case about the size of a glasses case. It was a great way to take them with me, and keep them clean.

I have an old set of restaurant ware. That is heavy restaurant china from the early to mid 20th century. These sets came with what were called fruit bowls. They hold about 4 oz. of liquid are are perfect for new sleevers.

Hit Ebay and do a search on "Restaurant ware fruit bowls." There are some really cheap ones in every color you can imagine. Be careful because if you are like me you will think: The Soup cups for this pattern are cute ... so are the pie plates ... THEN: I like this pattern too.

I would rather not disclose how many sets of dishes I have including serving pieces.

Your secret would be safe with me. I know how those things happen! :D

I can relate! It's funny, I've always had this weird obsession with ramekins and have a bunch of different sets of them but only used them occasionally. Now they are the perfect vessel for my VSG-friendly meals, and I have plenty to choose from. :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
