sugars and sweeteners bad for me ;(

I finally finished my last bottle of isopure and tried a milkshake tonight. I have found that with my sleeve anytime I have something that contains a lot of sugar or sugar substitute, I dump. I have tried various drinks such as isopure but it does not agree with me at all. I had a little bit of vanilla milkshake tonight; one of my old favorites not only did it taste horrid but it made me dump like crazy! The milkshake dried my mouth out like crazy. So, tonight it's a night I have to say good by to a lifelong friend. Mrs. Milkshake and I had some great years together. Those years were full of laughter and fun but as of tonight Mrs. Milkshake and I are done.

Having super hard time with protein period. Cannot wait until next week when I can have soft protein foods instead of these tummy churning shakes.

I have done really well since surgery. I was walking around and finishing all my liquids right after surgery. My NUT only had me do a week of liquid and then put me onto soft foods earlier this week already. I have not had any problems at all accept with the surgery drink and the shake. The shake dried my mouth out so much; it was like drinking something rancid. It;s so weird how our tastes and smells become so different after surgery.
