For the life of me I cannot get all my fluids or all my Protein in, in a day! I have been trying and came close a few times, but never all the way there. Anyone else having this problem?

It was very difficult the first month. It got better as time went on. I was told just to do the best you can and not worry.

I'm having the same struggle and I'm six weeks out. I'm just starting a regular diet and would like a sample menu that includes the right amount of Protein. Anybody?

Same here.I saw my surgeon yesterday for my second post op visit and told him. He said everyone is different and just do my best. As long as I am drinking fluids to the point of not being thirsty, then I am doing fine. The Protein is a challenge for me as I only have a maybe 2 oz tummy capacity right now and get so full on very little. Plus, the Protein Shakes are not my favorite (feels like taking medicine!). I eat mostly protein but just not great quantities and low fat low carb. I had a bit of a stall but don't mind because I figure my skin will have a chance to tighten up between every few lbs. I am happy with losing almost 40 lbs so far and feel pretty great in spite of the fact I don' t get in the recommended protein and Fluid amounts just yet. I will not force anything on my new tummy because I want to treat it more kindly this time around. I wish you the best in your journey :-)

You are doing fabulous! At your stage, I could also only eat about 2 oz and, truthfully, I'm not much beyond that now (about 1/3 cup capacity, it seems). Anyway, try Greek yogurt. I'm in Canada so there are fewer choices, but the best one here is Danon Silhouette at 50 calories and 8 grams of Protein. Most of the others are double the calories (or more). It's thick, so at first, I actually put it in a bowl and mixed some slimfast or other Protein Shake in with it and ate it like Soup. It's about 1/3 of a cup in total but with the liquid added - obviously a little more. It would take me three separate times to finish one small container of yogurt at your stage, so go slow. It's a great way to get in some protein. Good luck!!!

Try Isopure from GNC - it's not a shake. It has 40g Protein per 20oz. Comes in lots of flavors, and kills 2 birds w/one stone.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
