Jacked up body image....and NSV?

Recommended Posts

When I was in high school wearing size 9 juniors I thought I was fat. For those of us with body image issues, I think it's something we always have to deal with.

I lost well over 200 lbs 6 or 7 yrs ago, and the reason I gained it back was body image issues. This time I will not do it again.

Oh, I'll have body image issues and see myself over 400 lbs again just like I did then, but I've already got a list of counselors that I requested who are familiar with bariatric issues, because I know it will happen again. This time I'm being proactive about it.

I know the feeling... I went shopping at the mall yesterday for a new pair of jeans. I left the house feeling stylish and kinda sexy driving our new car with the top down :P

Enter the mall... The first thing I see is a reflection of myself in a random mirror. And I look old and still FAT! :(

I went to the gap to buy a pair of jeans I know I'm size 12 there now, and I don't know, while I was in the dressing room I see my fat thighs and old woman ass (47 last week) in the double mirrors and got more down.... For f**k sakes I went from a size 20+ to a 12 pure no stretch denim and I still feel just as big sometimes.

Ok LoLo, let's just stop the "old lady" talk right now! (I'm 47, too) You are a beautiful, sexy mama who had it right when you left the house~ pay attention to all the compliments you get ~ we all know those GAP mirrors are recycled from a funhouse anyway. ;)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
