How much did you lose the 1st week?

I was sleeved 6/11/13 (5 days ago) and I lost 21 lbs so far. Ok, I'm extremely happy, but I want to know if this is ok. It seems like a lot to me-- but I feel really good. Even though I'm on Clear liquids for the first week, I still have energy. I've been walking in my street for the past few days and doing light stretches.

So I want to know.. How much did y'all lose the 1st week post-op??

:)

I was sleeved On June 11 my starting weight was 294... After the preop liquid diet for two weeks I was down to 280... And now six days. I am 273.. So I am down a total of 21 pounds...go us for Losing weight and getting healthy we are on the losing side.. Also my doctor told me only to weigh myself once a week.. LOL.. She totally knew that I was weighing myself multiple times a day... She also said take pictures.. So you can see the weight difference:)

I was sleeved on June 10th....(7 days ago)' date=' and I'm down 7 lbs. I feel like I'm slower than I should be :( I guess it could be the swelling and all? I don't know...[/quote']

Me too. I was sleeved the 10th and I am only down 8. I was worried for a while, but hey, we are losing not gaining! That is a great thing!

I was thinking about you the other day and wondering how it was going! So we're in the same boat. Are you still swollen? Any pain?

Wow, you are all doing great! I weighed myself before I went to the hospital last Monday and weighed again this morning. I am only down 2.6lbs! A little discouraging, but I'm trying to be patient and see what happens in another week.

I don't think I'm swollen anymore. Not that I can tell anyway. I had some mild pain during the 1st 24hrs but I'm feeling great now!! :)

Thanks for the reminder, Lunaya!

We're all going to be at our own pace, and I'm just glad to be losing!

We're weight loss warriors!

I lost 24lbs my first week. Congrats on your weight loss so far.

dont feel bad laura i gained weight in the hospital! so its hard to tell

Lost 18 lbs since surgery on june 6th.. hqvent been in the 280's since 2009..I love it

If you don't see huge drops the 1st week do not be discouraged!!!

Many of us gained 5-10 lbs in the hospital between the IV's and gas pumped into our bellys for surgery.

I know I gained as I could hardly button the shirt when I came home that fit fine when I went in and I only stayed 1 night!

I didn't weigh myself for 2 weeks as I didn't want to see an increase:)

Sleeved on June 3rd....... Lost 15 lbs the first week

I was also sleeved on 6/11/13. I am down 13 lbs and feel great! Still concerned I'm in taking enough fluids. I put myself on a timer to keep track. Not the funnest way to live right now but, I want to be safe and continue to feel good.

Sleeved 5/28 so I'm 3 weeks post op.today -13.5 the first week -6 the next two weeks, total weight loss 19.5. Today I had my first food in 3 weeks holy cow it was delicious. Small 3 oz rotisserie chicken breast and stemmed spinach, nothing has never tasted so good. I was on shakes and water only for first 3 weeks.
