I feel the same when I look at my wedding pictures on the walls... And this is why I've told my husband when I get to goal, we are doing a vow renewal on the beach, dress, tux and all...ha!!

You can't be as proud of where you are, if you don't acknowledge where you came from. Chin up grammy...your best years are still ahead ;)

I guess I'm not the only one. The other day I went into depression mode after looking at old photos of my self so i erased them!! and went and looked at my self in the mirror for like 10 minutes I felt better kind of. No matter how thin I get there will still be scars left behind from emotional eating.

I'm tearing up reading this.....

I'm hardly in any family photos. Well, that is definitely going to change for me & ALL of us!

I avoid being in any family pictures by always being the one to take the pictures- I hate my wedding pictures as well, and plan on retaking them in two years for my 15th anniversary. It is sad that so much of my life has been spent avoiding the camera, I am looking forward to the next half of my life being much different.

I got down to my lowest adult weight for my wedding. I felt great! But soon gained it all nack and then some. It's crazy now I'm 30 pounds lighter than my wedding day! Woohoo!

hello ladies

great comments above referring to our thoughts of "older" pictures - seeing ourselves in days past :(

guess i'm not the only one who doesn't enjoy seeing these pictures, especially amongst my thin/average sized family :(

next big occassion will be in October in Georgia with all family

i'm gonna be a camera hog!!!!!

i will definitely have a nice picture of DH and myself

chin is up (used to say "both" chins)

still a little flabby - not as bad though :)

pot calling the kettle black???

i try and be cheerful saying to others, things will be good - i really do mean that

but..............what happens, now i'm in the dumps

as they saying - trying to pull myself up by the bootstraps ;)

tomorrow will be a brighter and better day :) (for all of us)

thanx for your responses :)

take care

kathy

I keep a picture on my computer screensaver of when I was at my heaviest. Want the reminder of how far I've come!!!makes me smile and be proud of myself instead of getting angry!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
