Are you looking for the BariatricPal Store? Go now!

I am one month post op and so far today I've eaten Buffalo Chicken, Chipotle, an entire wheel of cheese and a chocolate shake. Is that OK?

Recommended Posts

My chocolate "shake" was a Premier Protein shake.< /p>

My Chipotle was 8 black Beans, 1 teaspoon of cheese and MAYBE a tablespoon of barbacoa from my daughter's bowl.

My buffalo chicken was 1oz of of shredded rotisserie chicken dipped in wing sauce.

My cheese wheel was a babybel light.

I have officially hit 47 grams of Protein today (highest ever since surgery) and I am so stinking proud of myself. I am 350 calories which is more than more days, too, and it's only 3:15pm.

I sent my tummy a calendar and it seems as though it looked at it and said, "HEY!! Let's feast today!!".

Now, I should probably get some Water in, huh?

Haha, I had one of those "feeding frenzy" days earlier this week. Then I realized I'd actually only eaten some tofu, Soup, and a slice of cheese. haha

Wow. That sounds....ambitious for one month. My doc still had me on purees at that point for safety. Youch. Be careful. The amounts sound good, just be sure you chew that chicken until it's liquified before you swallow it.

I am supposed to be on soft foods at this point. Everything I ate was just short of being pureed. Trust me, I can barely eat, so this was a HUGE victory for me. I am nothing, if not careful. You can ask any of the above women that know my journey. :D

My NUT wants me at 64 grams of Protein and 600-700 calories along with 64 oz of Water. I'm still lacking greatly even with my "feast". I think I'm ok. ;)

Two shots of patrone and a jager bomb will help you get the rest of your liquids in case you were wondering how soon you could drink...... :D

I wonder if I could lace those with Protein powder and call it healthy.

I think that would be most appropriate!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
