Who has actually reached goal?

Recommended Posts

Lost my weight in 6 months less a day and now wear a size S/M and 6/8. The post from Elene_7 hit the nail on the head. So many do not believe this and will fight their way to be right in their thinking....................they end up being the ones not reaching their goal weight and wondering why. Some people are just so stubborn!! Love my sleeve and followed the eating plan to a 'T" and as Elene said did everything right!! We all have the ability to reach goal but I agree how bad do you really want it?

Still sweetie, u don't need that non support. So really search for someone else, I mean, y let insurance reimburse this idiot and he's not supporting ur choice? Newhoo, there are a lot of successful people whose gone threw the surgery and doing / did gr8! Chin up n keep reading n if u have to stay w that jerk NUT(literally as well ) ;) then prove him wrong, not bc u have too but bc u CAN/WILL!! bye4now, Dee Dee:))

i see you just started to check out WLS on the 13th

you and i are the same height and weight :)

good luck gathering all your info concerning the sleeve

if you are undecided about having WLS.......

my 2 cents, and most everyone else would say have the surgery

do you have change for a quarter

WLS is the best thing they/me ever did for themselves/ourselves :)

take care

I suppose they have to go by statistics - remember you can do anything you want to do - this surgery will change you - big time. I am 48, 5'3" and I plan on losing every ounce of my EW.

This is a post from another WL board (OH) - one of my favorite folks Elina_7. She offers some wise advise:

OMG - what an awesome post, thank you. My thoughts exactly, plus some!!! Two thumbs up, kudos to you for sharing!!

why on earth would your doctor send you to a NUT that does not believe in surgery? He will be working at cross purposes. The one I saw was wonderful, helpful, insightful, respectful. IMHO

The nutritionist that is with my surgeon didn't take my insurance so I went to a different one.

Edit* and I found him through my insurance company, not the surgeons office or hospital.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
