I started in January at 299 pounds I completed my 3 month Preop in April and when I was sleeved May 14th I weighed 250 pounds. I was size 24 in the beginning and I'm fitting in size 18/20 so I don't think it's unreasonable to have that as a goal. Best wishes and good luck!

If I were a betting man I'd wager on you being about 200lbs in mid September.

I started in a size 22/24 as well (at 5'4'' and 260ish) and after 3.5 months I was probably in a 16... so in the bridesmaid dress world an 18 was probably a really good guess. They can take it in or let is out to a certain extent... you should be fine!! It will be exciting to wear that dress when you are down a bunch of weight!

3.5 months out I went from a TIGHT 22 to 18. I think you did good on your estimate. It may even be too big!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
