Thank you for posting this. It's very helpful and informative. It looks like you had a really skillful, top-notch PS. I think you will look great once you're fully healed. I don't know if I will want to, or have the courage for any plastic surgery. I'm in the beginning stage of my journey. My girls are currently about the same cup size G as they were pre-surgery but my band size has gone down from 42 to 38. I'm hoping they don't end up looking like deflated balloons! LOL!

pre-surgery weight 325; surgery date 2/28/2013; surgery weight 307; 8 weeks past-op weight 281.4

Thanks for posting these pictures. It's so helpful to actually see them! I wish there was a way for me to have a reduction/lift done without it impacting my ability to breastfeed. My breasts are so flat and low I think it will make it hard to breastfeed. I don't really care about them not being firm, but positioning will be difficult.

I had the same concern about breast feeding, which is why I waited until now to do it. I wish I hadn't waited though. I still have not had children, and my PS told me that many women who have this surgery can still breast feed, although there's no guarantee. They don't remove the nipple anymore, so there's a higher chance of breast feeding being possible. I decided not to wait any longer based on kids I may or may not have one day. But, I'm older than you and completely understand why you're holding off.

Well, just wait and see what happens... I was a 44H, now I'm a 32D - and once I get a lift I'll be a B! I had planned on getting implants but decided that after being busty since I was 10 that it wouldn't be so bad to be relatively flat - and the price is right.

At this weight previously I was a D. Something about the weight loss... I lost all volume!

I had my breast reduction and lift' date=' insurance approved, last week. The surgery was 4.5 hours and outpatient. I was a 40 F before the sleeve and a 36 DDD before the reduction, after losing 75 lbs. The surgery wasn't too bad. There isn't as much pain as I thought but I'm so wiped out! I should've taken more than a week off work. I've posted some pics so that you can see what I week post op looks like. Not as gruesome as you'd think. I have a lot of swelling, especially laterally. That will take about 6 weeks to go away. I also posted two "before" shots. Although embarrassing, it was helpful to me to see other people's photos. Sorry that a couple are upside down. I have no clue how to fix that.

Thanks for sharing this! I want a lift when I'm done, but not a reduction. However your boobs look perfect! What size were you reduced to?

I'm supposedly a 34 full C once the swelling goes down. Right now I feel like a D.

Duh....question answered...THANKS!

I wonder if you would mind posting again at say 3 or 4 months out, so we could see what healing looks like? With some of the cost being covered by insurance, what were your total out of pocket costs? Did they Lipo any of the sides of your body or back? I would need the "tube" lipo'd, the side-boobage (you all know what I mean) and the bra back rolls otherwise I would end up with the wings a previous poster mentioned. I would want a reduction and lift, AND have them fluffed out a little with some fat harvested from lipo'd areas!

I will be happy to post again in a few months. Insurance paid all of the costs. I only had to pay a prescription co-pay for my meds, so about 15 dollars out of pocket. My Dr doesn't do the lipo with the reduction. He feels the surgery already pushes outpatient limits and suggested lipo later if need be. His excellent work left me with zero side boob and my back fat/roll went away with my weight loss. I would love to lipo right over my belly button though. I'm glad he didn't do lipo because from what I've read on the breast reduction forums, it adds a ton of pain to the recovery.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
