Looking for an opinion-Dr.Anthony McCluney

Recommended Posts

My first visit was in august I was 257. I'm 5'5" and 47 years old. Today I was 200.4. Ultimately I'd like to get to 150. I'm hoping to get there by the Fall. My surgery was in Brighton also. Is the lake your live near in Wakefield? I'm in North Andover.

You must be thrilled about surgery. I haven't attended one of the support groups at St E's but am going to try to as the days get longer. I think they are the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month.

Yes, I live near the Wakefield lake! It's a great place to walk! I haven't gone to the support groups yet but who knows what the future holds! My Dream goal weight would be about 140 but I don't know how realist that would be to maintain for me... But we shall see!! The 26th can't get here fast enough!!!!

I'm good! The 26th can't get here fast enough!! I'm curious to see how I do ... Will I be one if those who recover quickly after surgery? Will I lose quickly? Or will I experience all the bumps I hope not!!! I am dying with anticipation! How are you doing?

Just had my surgery wed March 26th with Dr. Mccluney. I could not be happier his team had been wonderful!! Everyone at Saint Elizabeth's have been nothing shorter than outstanding! It was a very long process to get here and I know my journey has only just begun, but I am confident that with such an amazing team behind me the only option is to succeed!!

Hi Jojo. I was thinking about you but wanted to give you a few days after surgery. It sounds like all went well. The whole team at St E's is fantastic. I look forward to my follow ups with Martha, always learning something new. So glad you are well. Take it slow for the first week then there will be nothing to hold you back. Best of luck and keep the updates coming. You are a "loser" now; said in the nicest of ways of course.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
