What do you mean by "slightly bigger"?

In the hospital I could take in about 1-2 oz in 30 minutes, 2 weeks later I can get in 4-6 oz. Are you asking about 12 oz or larger?

Yes.it gets much easier the further out you get. I can drink a normal 8 to 16 ounces like a regular person now. I can even gulp Water when I need to really quench my thirst. :)

I guess I should've made that more clear. I was curious about both but more interested in the size of the drink you take. At first I could hardly take small drinks without getting an air bubble and belching. However now that I am three weeks post op I am finding its easier to take a bigger drink without belching.

Sometimes when I am getting close to "full" I start belching. When I am full I start sneezing. It feels weird to look at a bottle of Water and get full off of 1 in from the top of the cap right now. I look forward to being bale to quench my thirst. Sassygirl06 looks like she is 9 months out. I wonder if that is when she noticed she could do that.

Drinking too much used to cause a horrible pain in my chest. Now I'm 6 months out and can drink like I did before surgery.

It may sound funny but not beig able to drink as I did before surgery was one of the things I was nervous about, and bummed about to be honest. Especially on those hot summer days I was bummed to think I may not be able to quench my thirst. Hopefully I will be as lucky as you are and be able to drink as I did before surgery.

Doesn't sound funny at all... I wasn't prepared for that restriction and it is making it really difficult for me to get my Water in. I have always been a chugger so it was easy to get in lots of Water in a day...learning to sip is hard for me..I'm still only getting in about 32 oz on a good day... so I'm hoping it gets better soon!!!

I can drink 20 ounces in 30 minutes. I cannot take big sips though or gulp with out getting pain in my chest and throat. If I take small sips I can drink allot more than the first 2 weeks. I'm almost 5 months out.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
