The people perish for lack of a vision, so what is your vision??

Let's keep each other accountable to do better everyday, change at least one bad habit a week.

Hey, Audree!

You are doing great! You are about the same as I am, and you don't even have a fill yet. Isn't it exciting?

The BMI is deceptive. Can you imagine what Arnold Schwartzenegger's BMI might be?? Scary! But he can't possibly have much fat on him.

Hooray for just a bit of spandex in jeans! I LOVE wearing a size 10!!

My butt requires spandex in the jeans or else they get squished!!!!

Congrats on the awesome weight loss!!!

We are all success stories!!!

Are you going for a fill? I have a fill appt. with Dr. Ortiz for Feb. 17th, Saturday at 9am.

I never got to have mushies since Dr. Ortiz cut that out of his post op because he found people gained durning mushies since they tend to be high calorie and easy to eat.

I can't wait for my fill!!! I have zero restriction, but just chew and take about 20 minutes to eat. I also "water load" and drink about 10 ounces of Water before I eat.

My goal for this week is to not weigh every single day.

I used to be obsessed with the scale. So, I assigned Fridays as my weigh in day. We can fluctuate so much and I didn't want to add more pressure on myself. I'd rather have a nice surprise at the end of the week!!!

babygotback - I have a question, sorry to post directly to you here, but I couldn't PM you.

I am scheduled with Dr. Ortiz on 2/15. I have lost about 7 lbs on the pre-op, but we are going to go to Sea World and Universal with my family a few days before the surgery. I am concerned if I don't have a big loss, he will postpone the surgery...what was your experience with his expectations for weight loss. My BMI is 37

No problem in posting here! I only lost 4 pounds on my pre op. I wouldn't gain! I would also email Dr. Miranda the nutrionist and tell her what she advises and if she wants you to lose 3 more.

It is best to let them know and keep them posted.

Her email is drmiranda@obesitycontrolcenter.com

Let me know if you have any other questions!!

Yes I think this is a really good idea too, and I have been doing it too. I used to do it in Weight Watchers and I like it a lot better, even though I am up on the scale every day, LOL.

Hi Lower BMI'ers. I have posted once or twice. I read this thread everyday, but I don't post as much. By the time I formulate a response for something you guys have switched subjects. LOL.

Mom2Sassy,

It is more important for higher BMI patients to lose weight before surgery.

It is nice to read that everyone is doing so well. A friend invited me to rockstar supernova this weekend. She bought 2nd row center stage tickets. I have never really heard of them, but I am looking forward to taking my size 14 bum to a concert! w00t

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
