I got sleeved may 1st. Still In the hospital and doing good. When you wake up after surgery your in a lot of pain they will give you meds through an iv. Later on that same night I was able to start on pills cut up though and they last longer. I did get nauseated every time I got up and they can give you meds for that. I got to have Jello and broth for lunch thank goodness because I had been on Water for two days and was hungry. I didn't even eat all the jello you get full fast so take your time eating and drinking. Also you will feel better each time you walk it helps get the has out and sitting up. Each time will get easier and easier.

Very nervous!

My sleeve is scheduled for May 7th...

On one hand I feel so excited I can barely stand it...knowing my life will never be the same...

On the other hand I have such trepidation...you know...all those doomsday thoughts that go through your head...

Wish I could just stay positive!

Hope you all are doing well..

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
