What did you eat on your first day of regular foods?

Recommended Posts

I have 1/2 week left of soft foods then on to "normal" foods. I was wondering what you all ate on your first day of regular eating.

Salmon was my second thing. For some reason I craved salmon, which I never ate before. And I just had to have some tuna too.

A six inch sub from subway!! :P JK

I really don't think I ate anything radically different going from the "soft food" to being cleared "regular" food... I mean most normal foods I ate where the ones that got me here!

So I just stuck to my moist chicken/fish thing..

I did feel it was safer to add more veggies though.

I liked wild salmon because it is fairly high in good fats and Protein. The canned wild salmon is convenient because it can be stored in the pantry until opened. The salmon is also good in scrambled eggs, very filling.

I couldn't have tuna because every time I did I got sick :(. I had a ramekin with taco seasoned ground turkey, refried Beans, cheese, and some taco sauce. Can you tell I was craving Taco Bell? I think I added some Greek yogurt for sour cream. It was perfect!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
