Wow!!! Blake knocked my socks off!!! I just knew he had something special to bring to the table and man last night he really did it!!!

I really enjoyed Phil's performance. Lakisha has such great possibilities. Her performance last night really redeemed her mediocre recent performances.

Poor Jordin. Ron Bon seemed to be telling her she chose the wrong song. Wonder why she didn't listen? For her, that was a huge stumble because everyone else did so well. Someone mentioned that she has a famous father and that's why she'll win. Who is her father? I really like her but it has nothing to do with her father.

Tonight I would guess that Phil and Chris will go home. In fact, I think I'll be pretty disappointed if they aren't the ones going home. They've done well overall, but the others are much more entertaining for me. Dawg.

Smaytas: Tonight will tell the story about Ron Bon's aged voice. I'll be paying special attention since you mentioned that his voice quality is slipping.

I'm thinking that tonight might be Phil and Chris.....Just don't know what the voters are doing anymore. Phil was great and Jordin was awful. I agree, Melinda was still Melinda. AND I COULDN"T BELIEVE THAT SIMON KISSED LAKEISHA!! I guess he really really really wants her to win!!!!

That blew my mind! HE's NEVER been so complimentary to ANYONE!!!!!!!

Jordins father was a pro football player...

BJean: I didn't say his voice quality was slipping. at least I don't think I did. I just didn't like his remix of one of my favorite songs...Daughtry did sound better than his original.

I just hope he sings a classic tonight and not "Have a nice day" I think that song is terrible.

I really liked Blake last night. He is growing on me more and more, last night he just made it fun! I hope last nights performance by Jordan doesnt get her voted off, but I think Chris is definitely gone. Melinda blows me away every week, she is safe for sure. I dont have long to wait until tonites show to find out!

I think Chris is gone too..

I want either Jordin or Blake to win.

They can all bascially get record deals at this point.. but i think either of those 2 will do good as an "american idol winner".

Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood were both young and did great.

WTH ever happened to Taylor?

Phil and Chris are out. I really think Melinda or Blake will win... but as has been mentioned, the door to contracts is open for all the remaining ones.

lianna: Wow! You've done really well. Only 7 lbs. to goal. What an inspiration!

I liked Jon Bon's new song last night. My DH was very disappointed. He wanted him to rock out.

Now we're down to some serious business with the rest of the group!

I agree with your husband. When he started singing that song, I went into the other room and turned on the x-box.

Hi gang,

I didn't say Jordan should win because her father was famous. I said he could buy her a career 'cause he is rich. He is Phillipi Sparks who played for the NY Giants and the Dallas Cowboys for 9 years. I think she could win on her own merits easily. She has already recorded an album and has a career as a plus sized model. That is why she is so "put together" and confident. She would have made it without American Idol.

Melinda and Blake are also very accomplished professionals. Blake's group also recorded an album before he left and went on his own but he needed Idol to "hit the big time".

Lakisha is the real underachiever (read no self confidence) here. Her mother was a teacher, she was home schooled and attended college majoring in music. She never followed through and just sang in gospel choirs. No offence to bank tellers but she could be a pro singer.

Even Phil Stacey and Chris Richardson were college music majors. There are no amateurs who make it to this level of American Idol these days. I don't think a waitress will ever win again.

BJean, thanks! Alexandra posted a before and after pic for me on page 45! It has taken a while but I am almost there!

I dont think Jordan will win....of the ones remaining she has had some very weak performances. However, as you said, it is down to some serious talent here. It could be anyones game from here out, but I see Melinda or Blake taking it. Either way, those two certainly have a future in store for them. (all of them more than likely). Chris' voice is slightly annoying to me....but I think even he could do well with country music.

It's pretty easy to call that Lakisha is going down next. She is good but not against those who are left but who do you all think will WIN at this point. Pick ONE not two. That's too easy.

Even though Melinda is the best singer I think BLAKE will take it.

I think its going to come down to Jordan and Melinda. I think Blake will go home next, followed by Lakisha, and then Melinda. Jordan is going to win. lol

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
