I would like to know the same thing!! I love a good wine tour lol!

my friend had the gastric bypass last year and she had one swallow of jack daniels at christmas time and was very drunk and sick. i hope the sleeve isn't so bad. i like my whiskey.

I waited 2 mths...I use a small sherry glass and sip very slowly...no adverse effects!

I had a breakup today. I'm 6 weeks out and had a few sips of my fave wine. It no longer tastes good to me AND it made my tummy hurt. Now I have to go find a new favorite wine.

Wait on finding that new wine... my taste buds didn't go back to normal until I was nearly 3 mths out...

I'm two months out yesterday I have had red wine and some patron and some rum not all at the same time the twist is I chased/mixed with power aid zero or propel and "sip sip sip" I have not felt overly drunk or anything but I can say I was super relaxed so it works for me however I was hung over like I drank allll night at a bar

I got wasted at 6 weeks, takes a whole lot less to do it now though

How many months did you wait drink alcohol ?

I had a white peach sangria from Applebees the other day and I'm one month post op. Felt good going down but I didn't even get buzzed from it.

I went to Vegas 8 weeks post op and drank a few tequila sunrises and a marguerita with no problem. Oh and I didn't get drunk really fast or anything. It was very much like before the sleeve.

Had red wine last weekend. Got about 1.5 oz down and I felt sick.

Keep in mind that drinking will throw you completely out of ketosis.

Well..depending on how much you drink.

If you drink several drinks, you will be out of ketosis for several days.

If you drink every few days, you will be out of ketosis almost all of the time.

Is that because of the carbs? I remember when Mich Ultra came out, a lot of low carb dieters were really into it because of the low carbs.

I am not a big drinker, but I did check on the Skinny Girl label of alcohols. They are all super low in carbs. Usually less than 5 grams per serving. It is a good option for anyone in a social setting who wants a drink, I think.

I waited 4-5 months. I drink about 3-4 beers a week total. I am 20 months out.

I drunk two glasses of wine at 8 weeks and I enjoyed it and had a good time dancing

Alcohol is calorically more dense than fats or Proteins.

I was curious about the impact of alcohol on ketosis and did several different rounds of self-studies using keytone strips.

You may want to do your own self-study and see how it impacts you. Just make sure you have a baseline to go by before you begin testing after consuming alcohol.
