Calm down! 2 lbs can be nothing more than temporary Water weight gain. Wait a couple of days and it will go back down.

just remember the scale is just a tool to measure by. it surely can go up and down according to Water gain or loss so just keep up the good work and the 2 pounds (of probably water) will be gone before you know it!

I gain and lose 2-4 pounds all the time. It's like waves coming and going. If I go up 5-10 pounds in a short period I get concerned. So far it has not happened.

Many factors: exercise, sodium/potassium levels, Water consumption, stress, phase of the moon, (ok, not the phase of the moon, that has more to do with beard growth  ), contribute to the scale report.

The scale is a superficial observer, never delving into the heart, probably like many of the slime guys you ladies have known. B)

I gain all of the time. Just less than I lose.

If you saw a weight loss chart by days, it would zig zag up and down, up and down in a gradual decline over time.

Nothing unusual.

Thanks for the support y'all. I just haven't been in a very good place and I'm frustrated. I have been unable to exercise due to an injury and I'm like a hawk with the scale as a result. Ugh! I'll try to remain calm!!! :)

You weigh less at 4 am then you do at noon, it is perfectly normal for a person (sleeved or not) to fluctuate everyday through out the day, and have patterns in a month. They say never weigh yourself everyday, but once a week, so you can see the overall progress.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
