weekly scale challenge

Recommended Posts

Well, the scale finally budged a bit. I lost a 1 lb hunk of lard this week. I was pretty amazed really considering the scale hadn't moved in so long. I hadn't done anything differently last week and in fact missed two of my Water aerobic sessions. I had company last thursday and I was still recovering from a cold on tuesday. I am on my way to the pool now though. Best wishes to all of you, Teresa

I want to share a highlight of my trip to Monterey. Walter and I stopped on our way and met Carol (cadydid) and her husband for dinner. What a terrific inspiration! She has lost so much weight so quickly! She looks fabulous!

I was so inspired by her dedication. It was also encouraging to meet someone who has the small capacity that I do -- and she doesn't whine about it! Now that's what I need to learn! I feel ready to tackle all the challenges ahead! Thanks Carol! :Bunny

Hey Lisa: Do you realize that right now you and I weigh the exact same amount? How cool is that? Of course come Monday all that changes. LOL!!!

I walked this morning 1.5 miles in 20 min with John. WHOO HOO!!! Then came home and did some toning for another 20 min alone. John was pooped from the walk. We also had to do some house cleaning and straightening as we have 60 people showing up tonight for a house party. UGH!!

Love you guys

Do I smell a challenge? What's happening on Monday? I never weight the same as anybody before in my entire life! Penni, we were meant to be!

Thanks Bec! Hey, what do you mean by a small capacity? Duh, I should do some band studying.

Miss Lisa,

Small capacity is probably good restriction -- I don't know! :D I've just never been able to eat more than half a cup or less since surgery. That's a good thing, but I whine about it all the time. :ermm It hurts if I eat more, but I don't pb. I guess that's just my body's way. It was just good to actually see someone else eat so little, rather than just hear about it. I felt like a normal bandster. :D

I am managing to stay focused through this darn divorce, its getting nasty now.......... I hoped to avoid that........ but oh well, it can only get better!!!! I am still walking........ 2-3 miles a day........ if I miss I feel horrible, works out a lot of frustration toooooooo! The more angry I get the faster I walk. hehe

Well keep up the good work everyone

Take care all and hugs to everyone.

Jodie-Great LOSS!!! I am so sorry to hear that your divorce is going rough. As a woman who has been through 2- I understand. Walking really helped me though my last divorce. Sometimes, I got lost in my thoughts, prayers, crying, and sometimes singing and would walk for more than an hour or two! I am sending big ((((Hugs)))) to you! Take care of you!!! We are all here for you.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
