Ate one slice of 7" pizza frm dominos! :)

I'm 5 weeks post op.. And was out with frnds who didn't know about my surgery... So I tried eating one slice of small pizza.. Onion and capsicum.. With the crust.. Was hoping not to make it awkward infront of others and yay! I was able to eat it.. Chewed it like 50 times each bite.. But I felt so happy after eating it! I'm still on soft diet according to the docs but I was happy I was able to eat it with out discomfort.. Hope I did it right and it wudnt harm my body.. Has anyone else eaten a pizza too?

Its ok to test yourself every now but don't fall in the bad habits of trying to eat the old junk we did in the past. Pizza has its advantages and disadvantages so chalk it up as a slider food. I have

Eating one slice of pizza on occasion is not going to sabotage your weight loss. I am a big proponent of nothing being off limits as long as its in moderation. I am so glad you enjoyed it, I am goi

About two weeks out of my surgery, I was at a kid's birthday party, starving and accidentally left my shake at home. Was more afraid of eating raw veggies, so I opted for some cheese off of a 1/2 slice of Pizza Hut white pizza (no sauce just mozzarella and ricotta cheese) since I thought cheese would be the best option. It was the best I'd felt that week because it had been the first real food I'd eaten... chewed 30 times. I told my doctor when I went in for my 30-day visit, and I got majorly reprimanded. While I agree with him, that it is best to stick to the plan especially so early on, I'd say it's important not to fall into old habits. I mean we've had our stomaches split in two, we probably owe it to ourselves to do the best we can. Now I'm six weeks in and I've got to say it's amazing to actually taste food, to take one bite of food and be completely satisified.. it's wonderful.
