I'm a week out from surgery.;)

Stupid question, but should I be able to feel my port? Where abouts is it? I've felt around a little bit but I don't want to go poking and prodding my tummy too much trying to find it. :phanvan

I have 5 incisions one between my breasts, two on my left side, one on my right and a longer one on the left side of my belly button. Can any one point me in the right direction??

Thanks!

Meredith

One of your incisions will be a little bigger than the others. Your port will be there.

I can't find or feel mine either. It's buried pretty deep.

I just know generally where it is by the incision.

Yep - the port incision hurts for longer - because the port is actually stiched to an abdominal muscle.

It takes longer to heal than the skin stiches.

my port is midline of my abdomen. I thought it was on the left under an inscision but I work in an x-ray dept. and I had them take an x-ray of me so I could see where the band and the port was.

The largest incision, and the only one that hurt for me. About 1.5" below my bra, slightly to the right. I couldn't feel it for a long time, and then tried and - yep, that's it! Felt like a button pretty deep under the skin, had to push a bit to feel it.

But now I can't feel it at all. ;)

I have been using Protein Powder from GNC and make my own tasty treats. I put a half of banana with a scoop of yogart and some ice and juice all in the blender and walla a nice tasty Protein Drink. But I am just getting used to sip sip sip because I am hungry and want to just gulp it down. I have tried even a scoop of Peanut Butter in it for flavor. My blender is my best friend right now. I was banded on 11/24.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
