Not getting enough...of anything

Recommended Posts

I got sleeved 5 days ago. I came home from the hospital Thursday, today is Saturday. I just added up what I have been eating realized I am consuming about 100 calories and 12g Protein. I am trying, but I.just can't fit much in my sleeve without feeling sick.

Is this normal this soon post-op? Or should I be concerned? I am still on full liquids and move to puree in about 5 days.

Thanks.

I put my drink on the kitchen counter, take a sip then walk around the house once and take another sip. if sip was too big then i walked around twice before sipping again. it took me an hour and a half to drink my Protein Shake but i did it. maybe you could try it. the walking help take my mind off of drinking. you gotta focus on getting the Proteins in since they help with the healing process and it ensures you lose fat instead of muscle. then move right into drinking your fluids. it'll get easier. good luck with it.

I did better with Protein sports drinks like Isopure and designer whey blitz early on. Cut them with g2 or a little Water if too strong. Sometimes the shakes are just a little thick the first few days.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
