My surgery is scheduled for 3/14. That's tof*ckingmorrow. And I feel like absolute ****. I'm not even talking about all the cheating I did on my clear liquid diet. I'm talking asthma attacks (which manifest for me as coughing fits), low grade fever, and muscle aches that sort of resemble the flu. I don't have the flu; they're not as severe as that, but they're enough to keep me up and writhing.

I don't even know. Even if they don't cancel surgery, I'm absolutely petrified of how my recovery will be feeling like this. Double edged sword.

Stress? Nerves? Body going into shock from lack of carbs? Too much dog meat?

Relax...you're gonna do great. When you come out of surgery all these little troubles are going to disappear. You're going to have all new troubles that will make these pale in comparison.

Uh...I mean....everything will be rainbows and unicorns.

I wish you nothing but success. I hope that you will make the commitment to follow the path to health and life. The next few days are going to suck, and the next few months won't be great either, but if you are truly committed to real change, you have a decent chance of making it through okay. If you think otherwise, you might have not made the best decision to have this surgery. Again - good luck to you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
