Happy to report 10 days out I've lost 24 lbs and no migraines! I couldn't be happier with my decision. It's been hard and I'm still not feeling 100% but ill trade these pains with Migraines any day! This makes 38lbs in total with pre and post of weight loss. I'm so motivated and I've inspired my family to get in shape too :)

That is mind blowing! I am 11 days out and I've lost 15. But I bought a new fancy scale that measures your bones, body fat, weight etc. But every time I get on it says something else. Kindove discouraging. I am still in a bit of pain and still on pain meds so I'm not exactly a regular in the oval office if you know what I mean. I think they constipate you I'm wondering if that's a factor in the scale not budging too much in the last couple of days. I also haven't been getting all my Protein in. Im going to try getting all my protein in and see if that makes a difference as well. Do you mind me asking what your beginning stats are?

Congrats!!! I'm 12 days postop and I've lost 21 lbs!! It's so weird to see 199 on the scale. I haven't been below 200 in about 6 years!! Wonderful feeling!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
