Congrats! Im off my cpap also. Starting weight 242, surgery weight 222, current weight 189 ~ 53 pounds gone along with my cpap. My hubby said I barely even snore anymore. I sleep so good and even wake up early on my own now. Im so rested and have so much more energy too.

I hope so much that I quit snoring! My husband won't sleep in the same bed with me anymore because I snore like a freight train. ::praying to the insurance Gods::....

That's awesome! Sleeved 1/15, down 50lbs and my husband says I've gone from sounding like a freight train to a very light snore if he even hears me at all! My sleep dr won't do another sleep study til I get to goal so I'm still using my bipap but the setting went from blowing super hard down to a light breeze! Can't wait to get off of it! So yay for you!! :)

That was the same case here !!! I would shake the bed kicking my legs like someone was suffocating me ! I still snore but a mild case now , I'm hoping in time it will all go away :)

I hope that happens to me too. I couldn't tolerate the CPAP at all. That's the main reason I did the sleeve. I'm down 26 lbs but I'm losing slow so hopefully I see a good night's rest in my future.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
