Just checking in!

I had my follow up today regarding my allergy to dermabond. My rash is better but not completely gone. I need to watch it and if its not gone in a week I need to see a specialist.

Down 24 pounds total! My blood pressure is dropping lower and lower with my medication (but still in normal ranges). I can't wait to be off of my bp meds completely!!

On a downside, I've started having dizzy spells. So bad it felt like I was drunk. My doc said its probably because I'm not "resting" enough lol. Who says that?! I've been working out daily and hanging out with friends. I'm on bed rest now! Boo!! It's funny because not even two weeks ago I would lay around ALL DAY! And now I can't! I love it!

I hope everyone keeps improving, feeling better, and dropping those pounds and inches!!

... I just discovered wonton Soup broth. Well not really just discovered but my husband wanted Chinese on way home from hospital (so kind of him to pick the one thing I'm dying for). It is probably the most amazing thing i can put in my mouth right now. Just had to share. Haha literally on cloud 9 sipping this right now!

So sorry. Hope all is well.

Had my surgery on 3/11/13 and was home on Wednesday due to a small complication. The liquid thing in driving me crazy. Not having a problem, just tired on the flavors.

For those that are having problems with Protein Shakes, have you tried the shakes called nectar. They are awesome and come in so many different flavors. I know you can get them from the Vitamin Store and mybariatricpantry.com

All and all the trouble I am having now is still so worth it!

I am craving a steak though.

I just came home today!! I have a question bc my book they have me is so confusing! Lol in order to get all ur fluids in' date=' are you all just constantly sipping? I am so scared to drink to much because I HATE throwing up and I am trying to avoid that! I honestly can't tell anymore with the pain from the incisions, gas, or if my stomach is feeling full. Lol so back tony question. Are you pretty much sipping on and off every few minutes to get the right amount of fluids or am I doing something wrong??[/quote']

My dr says 3oz an hr cant wait to become post op

Yesterday I had my drain removed. So happy to be rid of that! Then I was sitting watching a little tv this afternoon when it occurred to me that I had no pain or grumbling in my gut! What a great feeling! I felt normal for a bit then back to being miss gassy ... Have I mentioned I love the person that invented Popsicles! feeling better everyday ... done 18lbs :D

Also anyone else tried Glucerna shakes? Come in great little 8 oz bottles in chocolate and vanilla. I was given Glucerna at the hospital so I searched when I got home and found them it on Amazon. Very tasty and convenient!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
