Due to my planar fasiitis, I still have not begun a rigorous exercise regimen, but I am happy with my loss to date. My BMI has gone from 57.1 to 37.8. I am off 12 of my 15 meds that I was on at surgery. I am thrilled with my sleeve!

Krenz what is your routine like? We had similar starting weight but I am a little behind you now at 247.

Mostly Protein, with limited carbs and at least 50oz of Water (I count the Protein shake as part of my daily liquid requirements)

Premier Protein shake every morning, half at 8am and the second at 10am.

lunch is typically 3-4 oz of chicken, turkey, fish or shrimp with a few veggies

Afternoon snack is a low carb Protein Bar

dinner includes more fish, chicken, turkey or maybe steak

Evening snack is a low calorie Greek yogurt with some sugar free strawberry or raspberry jelly

I walk 2-4 miles 3 times a week and occasionally an extra 5-10 miles on the weekends... My weightloss is slowing from 3-4 lbs per week to 2-3 lbs at almost 6 months, so it's time I start hitting the gym. I've got another 37 lbs to my goal weight and I think that's attainable during the next 4 months.

That's about everything I do, except for 1 or 2 drinks a week which stalls my weightloss for the next day or two.

And I think that is why I wasn't loosing more. My Protein Bars had more carbs than I realized. I have switched now. I hope to see a difference. I spend 3-5 days a week in the gym. And focus I. Protein all day. My Water intake has been low but I am working to increase that daily.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
