The baby is doing great :) despite the fact that this baby was unplanned (had and IUD and still got pregnant) we are so very excited. She moves around all the time. Especially when she hears both of her big sisters running around and playing. I have an ultrasound almost every time I have an appointment. I'm thinking its so y OB can keep making sure everything is ok. Fr the first 4 months I was on zofran every 4 hrs because of nausea and vomitting. It's been hard to tell if that is because of pregnancy or surgery but I'm sure it's been a mixture of both. I have not needed zofran for a while now and have been feeling great :). I will admit that I have been selfish this past month and had a hard time coping with the fact that I have not lost a pound in a month. But I know that everything will be ok and the baby needs any lb my body wants to hold onto right now.

Congrats, but oh, did I get a chill from your story. My husband has been teasing me about fertility and weight loss surgery. I keep snapping back that I am 47 and that even my fertile-Myrtle grandmother had her last baby at 44 (as did my husband's mother). But then I keep coming across stories of 50 year old women having babies. And now this. I feel like it is an omen. That does it, no sex for me! :)

This makes me nervous! I have an IUD as well, & certainly don't want to be pregnant since I'm a single lady! How long have you had the IUD?

Congrats on the baby... And the surgery!

I had my IUD in for 9 months and ended up getting pregnant. The doctor said that it is most likely because when I initially began to lose weight my hormones must have just been lined up perfectly to create a baby. I have heard it happens often post WLS. But I never thought it would happen 2 Wks post WLS lol!

When my period was late I figured it was because of the drastic surgery. And when I was nauseated I related it to surgery as well. But one day I thought to myself, lets just take a test to MAKE SURE. And sure enough there was a plus sign. I was told in the beginning that my baby only had a 20% change of living after the removal of my IUD. But here I am 27 weeks later and she's alive and well :) Kicking me at the moment actually lol

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
