What do you think?

I have been overweight all of my life, even in elementary. Do you think that people that have been overweight all of their lives lose less than people who gained later in life ? Crazy question but I need some inspiration here!! I'm 5'6 257, the smallest I have ever been was 180 my adult life and that was for about 7 months working with a personnel trainer 5 days a week and with lapband. I stopped and have gained back ALL off my weight ):

I absolutely do believe you can lose weight, the key is to stay focused and be determined. You must also realize that Rome wasn't built in a day and losing the weight won't be done that easily either. Know that sometimes it will be easy other times not so much. If you are determined it WILL happen. Good luck.

the sleeve is a tool that you get.. and with any good tool.. it takes someone (you) to use it properly to work.. and let me tell you its the best thing.. you have to follow all your docs instructions and follow the diet.. but the sleeve wont let you eat more than you can take it.. you get sick.. and thats not pretty lol.. now ive been very good..and have done everything I was suppose to do.. and im down 60lbs since dec 20th.. now what more could I ask for... I cant wait for more to come off.. but you have to make the effort.. you and the tool you are given... its not an easy thing at times.. but the end results..are fantastic.. Im still on my journey and will be for the rest of my life.. but oh the rewards of being a normal size.. ive been heavy most of my adult life.. not obese but I finally got there after my last child... but no more for me.. im taking back my life.. im not going to be like that anymore.. I have control now.. and the surgery will give you that too.. I found that I didnt like the foods I used to.. something changed in me.. not sure what.. but ive changed... its like I know now what I have to do..and im running with it.. best of luck to you on your new journey :)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
